Most founders stick to the same 3 channels: X, LinkedIn, and ads.
Meanwhile, there are entire platforms full of people actively looking for solutions.
So I did what any normal builder would do…
I studied the top needle moving levers for my business, and converted to free tools so all of you can use them too👇
1. Reddit - where people actually ask for product recommendations
Reddit is one of the few places where people openly ask real questions and get real first hand experiences.
Subreddits are full of genuine conversations, real problems, and people ready to buy solutions.
The opportunity: Answer questions, provide value, mention your product when relevant.
The problem: Reddit users can spot AI generated content instantly. They'll downvote and ban you.
The solution: Use AI for the first draft, then humanize it before posting.
Free tool: AI Reddit Humanizer - paste your AI content or messy draft, get a version that sounds human and passes Reddit's BS detector.
PS: if you're interested in beta-testing a Reddit growth tool to promote your products, reply to this email. I am cooking something.
2. X/Twitter - but only if your posts actually perform
Everyone's on X. Not everyone's getting results.
The difference between 500 views and 50,000 views is usually the post structure (apart from good content, of course).
The opportunity: X's algorithm gives everyone equal shot at virality. Zero followers can hit 10k impressions.
The problem: Most people wing it. Post random thoughts. Wonder why nothing happens.
The solution: Analyze what post structures work in your niche. Replicate the pattern, not the content.
Free tool: PostLab - shows you what formats perform best, helps you craft posts that actually get seen.
3. SEO - the channel that compounds forever
Every piece of content you publish can bring traffic for years.
But only if it ranks.
The opportunity: Write once, get traffic forever. Content from 2024 still drives 40% of Outrank's SEO trffic today.
The problem: Most people publish without SEO review. Then wonder why Google ignores them.
The solution: Get SEO feedback before you publish, not after. Fix issues while it's still a draft.
Free tools:
- SEO Audit - full website audit with specific fixes and AI prompts to implement them
- SEO Toolbox - keyword research, metadata optimization, technical checks
- SEO AI Review - AI-powered feedback on your content before it goes live
4. Competitor content gaps - steal traffic they're already getting
Your competitors rank for hundreds of keywords you don't know about.
They're getting traffic you could be getting.
The opportunity: Find what's working for them, create better content, Outrank them 😉.
The problem: Manually finding competitor keywords takes hours. Most people give up.
The solution: Automated gap analysis. See their top pages, their keywords, their traffic sources in 30 seconds.
Free tool: Content Gap Analyzer - finds competitor top pages, keyword gaps, topic clusters you're missing.
5. Backlink building - the unfair SEO advantage
Backlinks are how Google decides who to trust.
More high-quality backlinks = higher rankings = more traffic.
The opportunity: Strategic backlinks can 2x your organic traffic in 6 months. Outrank’s customer went from DR 23 to DR 41 this way.
The problem: Most link building advice is generic.
"Do guest posts."
"Get listed in directories."
Zero specifics.
The solution: Use niche specific playbooks with ready outreach templates. Copy, paste, send.
Free tools:
- Link Building Playbooks - niche-specific strategies with pre-written outreach copy
- SEO Playbooks - complete SEO growth playbooks for 100+ professions
6. Idea validation - before you waste 6 months building
The best marketing channel is building something people actually want.
The opportunity: Kill bad ideas in 2 weeks instead of discovering they're bad after 6 months of building.
The problem: Most founders skip validation. "I'll just build it and see what happens."
The solution: Test demand before writing code. Talk to potential customers. See if they'd actually pay.
Free tools:
- Find Startup Ideas - discover ideas based on market gaps
- Validate SaaS Idea - framework to validate before building
7. Strategic X replies - free distribution if you do it right
Replying to tweets isn't just engagement. It's distribution.
The opportunity: A good/early reply often gets 80% of the posts’s reach. Your profile gets seen by everyone reading that thread.
The problem: Random replies to random posts don't work. You need to be strategic about which conversations you join.
The solution: Analyze which accounts and topics get real engagement in your niche. Reply there.
Free tool: ReplyGuys - X reply analysis to find the highest-impact conversations to join.
Why I built these
I needed them for my own products first.
These tools helped us market them better.
Instead of keeping them internal, I made them free.
Use them. Break them. Tell me what's missing.
I always read all your replies on the email 👇🏼
Share this newsletter and I’ll repost
If this was helpful, share it on X:
It takes 5 seconds. I'll repost every share.
Tweet of the week
This is a great reminder!
That's it for this week.
Until next week,
Keep building
