If you think building a startup is hard…
Try having a kid 😅😅
And if you think having a kid is hard…
Try having 2 😅😅
The Tibo 'maker' has been out of my soul these past few weeks. The 'Dad' mode has fully kicked in.
But my business hasn’t suffered one bit.
Because I have set systems that allow me to become a great dad without worrying about work.
And this is important because you build a business to get freedom, not get yourself into a 24×7 job.
Here’s how all of my business works without me:
1 - SEO growth
SEO is truly amazing and the impact is only clear when you aren’t working on it for some time.
Suddenly, you can see traffic WITHOUT posting anything new. You find new subscriptions every day when you DIDN’T launch an offer the last night.
That’s the power of pure organic traffic.
Highly recommend using Feather.so coupled with trailblazermktg.com to nail your SEO efforts.
2 - Scheduling content
I schedule all my tweets and LinkedIn posts in advance so I don’t worry about consistency when I’m away.
Is it less authentic than normal? yes, a bit. But that’s how social media works.
That being said, I sometimes tweet randomly if I find something interesting or have a pic to share.
Scheduling doesn’t mean you stop posting. It just means that you have posts going out if you don’t post.
3 - Partners for every product in my portfolio
I have partnered up with super-talented makers for every single company of mine.
And all of them have equity in the business.
This ensures that I have someone capable of looking over the products, and continuously ship improvements when I can’t.
4 - Freelance contractors
I have access to amazing freelancers with the creative freedom to implement their ideas.
This allows all the work to run smoothly and not be hindered without me.
You see, productivity isn’t about working a lot. It’s about getting things done.
Don’t focus on the inputs, focus on the outputs.
Having a great team, content systems, and a clear long-term vision for the business helps me achieve great output.
