AI just saved me $10,000

AI automation is the latest hype.
Everybody wants AI agents to do the work while they sit at a beach.
Sounds good in theory, but really hard to do.
When I automate a workflow, I have these filters:
1 - Does it save a ton of time? 2 - Does it save or make money? 3 - Does it let me do something I couldn't do before?
If it doesn't clear at least one of those, it's not worth building.
Most "AI automation" content is fluff. And you’d do much better work yourself.
But some automations are really valuable. I use MissionControlHQ as the operating layer for a small team of AI agents.
Here are my top 5 AI automations 👇🏼

1/ Support triage and technical investigation

A support agent checks the newest Revid.ai tickets on a recurring schedule.
> It finds new tickets > Skips anything already being handled > Checks the report against the actual codebase > Then decides the next safe action
Straightforward questions get an approved response. Technical problems become investigation tasks with links, evidence, and a clear owner. If it finds a likely bug, it traces the code and preps a fix for review.
This means support gets sorted and investigated throughout the day instead of waiting for a human in the loop.
Saves my team and me a support hire and 10+ hours a week.

2/ Weekly affiliate newsletter production

Every Monday, separate workflows run for Revid.ai and Outrank.so
Each one reads the last 7 days of GitHub commits, and picks what customers and affiliates will care about the most.
Then it writes the newsletter and builds the campaign draft for my head of growth to check and send.
3 key benefits:
1 - No one has to manually check the code for ideas 2 - Every affiliate stays up to date with the latest features 3 - We make it super easy for the affiliate to promote us every week
This way, product development also becomes a distribution strategy.
Saves about 5-7 hours per week.

3/ Weekly Google Ads analysis

Every Tuesday, one workflow reviews Revid's + Outrank’s ad accounts.
It analyzes campaigns, conversion events, search terms, keywords, landing pages, acquisition costs, and finds where we are underperforming.
It understands the actual business context too. The Revid workflow specifically tracks first paid subscriptions and targets CPA under $40 (and max $60). It doesn't confuse a renewal with a new customer.
Then it sends us a read only analysis we can act on.
Saves us the creation of a big analysis sheet, and we can use that time for better ad creation. It also saves us a ton of money in wasted ad spend.

4/ Auto-announcing what we ship

I'm bad at announcing what we ship.
So I connected the Git repo and Revid's MCP into MissionControlHQ.
It picks the most impactful thing we shipped that week and automatically creates an AI video announcing it.
Helps me create more content and publish the latest features.
Saves me 10+ hours and makes me money when people sign up.

5/ Fighting chargebacks automatically

This one is my favourite.
I used to just let chargebacks go. Fighting them manually wasn't worth the time for what we'd usually recover.
Now AI responds to Stripe disputes automatically, pulls proof of usage, and submits it as evidence.
We're winning about 90% of chargeback disputes now.
This has saved me over $5000.

None of these are cool AI tricks.
Each one clears the bar I mentioned at the top, most clear two or three at once.

Tweet of the week

This is actually so true. You can ignore all the trends, all the viral discussions, and all the new shiny things.
Just build a product people want and win.

Until next week,
Keep building

P.S. The chargeback one still surprises me the most. I assumed fighting disputes wasn't worth the effort for years. Turns out it just needed someone showing up every time.
